I’ve always wanted to live in the country. No neighbors, no cars driving up and down the street. Just the wide open quiet and never ending corners to explore.
Tara lives my dream, and her children are so incredibly lucky to be able to grow up surrounded by nothing but nature, and family.

What do you love most about being a mom?
Their LOVE is what I love most! Their snuggles, unexpected kisses, tight hugs, and those moments they snuggle perfectly fit right into my shoulder. Their little precious souls melt my heart. The moments when my girls and I are the only ones that would ever understand each other with our actions, words, and silliness.
What do you worry about most raising kids in today’s society?
I worry that a wrong path followed will lead my girls to be unhappy, unsafe, or unsure of themselves. If you watch the news you will certainly see awfulness in our society. It’s easy to be tempted by evil in life. We are promised life and death. What we choose to do in-between is ours. I pray Ayva and Autumn follow a happy and humble path.
What do you want your children to remember about you and their childhood?
I want my girls to remember that I was kind or at least made a point to try very hard to be towards others. I want them to remember that we laughed, cried, and prayed together. That all our emotions, good and bad, are a normal part of life. I want Ayva and Autumn to remember that our top priority was family and that we were always there for each other.
What advice do you have for new moms?
Childhood is something you take with you for a lifetime. It shapes you into who you will be as an adult. From day one and everyday after make a point to set aside quality time with your littles. Shut off the electronics, ignore the mess for a bit, cut the grass later and give your child complete undivided attention everyday, even if your day is crazy busy. They will follow in your footsteps. If you attend worship and say a bedtime prayer then be sure to have your kiddos right beside you. They will forever follow your lead. Remember to snuggle and snuggle lots! Long hugs are the best stress reliever for mommy’s and kids alike.
