Raising girls is a whole mess of emotions. Sweet little princess one minute, then years of struggle (and JOY!) as they walk the path to becoming a lady.
If you’ve raised girls, you know the incredibly important bond between girls and their Mother. And if you’ve met Kristi, you know she is rocking this whole “Raising Ladies” thing.

What do you love most about being a mom?
The love. The unconditional, never-ending love. My kids have taught me how to love without limits. Once I realized that I was going to be a mom, I knew that it would be the best relationship I’d ever have.
What do you worry about most raising kids in today’s society?
I’ll be honest; today’s society scares the crap out of me. When my oldest started repeating things on the news at a young age, I stopped watching it. While there are many concerns, too many to list actually, I try hard to focus on what I can control. I try hard to teach work ethic and respect. Those two things that seem so simple, I feel are going away in a hurry. We need to get back to the basics.
What do you hope your children remember about their childhood and/or you as their mom?
I want them to look back and say that I was present. I hope that they will remember that I was there for them mentally, emotionally and physically. I hope that they know that I tried as hard as I could to be everything they needed.
What advice would you give new moms?
Believe in yourself. There is no wrong way to parent if you just believe in yourself. Everyone has his or her own opinions on parenting but you are the only one who knows what’s best for you and your baby. Take a deep breath and trust your instincts.
